Do you like the artistic situation of your nation?
On the whole yes. I have worked hard to gain the reputation for what I shoot, and where the studio is based. But, it could be improved. Possibly the biggest issue I have is our geographical location. Being in the North East of Scotland, is for many people, considered remote. If certain commitments could be realised, or someone wants to invest in creating a studio nearer a larger city… Please get in touch!
Are you satisfied with the public’s response to the your photo shoots?
Generally it’s been very very positive. And I do need to remind myself of that sometimes. And that’s not ego, it’s more of an issue I have with my own personality. I unfortunately tend to focus on negatives and ignore or bypass the good things and positives. I very quickly skip over any successes, and move on to the next thing ‘to-do’, but, if there is a negative, I sadly obsess over that for much longer than is healthy. It’s something I recognise, but struggle to overcome.
